The 2026 design is inspired by the Society’s dedication to citizen science and urban fungal diversity. The city skyline with its iconic buildings and landmarks is the backdrop for a gathering of mushrooms in their fantastic diversity.

These T-shirts subsidize the Fungus Festival and allow us to keep it free for all.  Shipping is USPS ground in the USA (more info below).

The artist

The design
This year’s design reflects both the spectacular location where our Fungus Festival will take place, but also the dedication of the NYMS to the study, understanding and conservation of New York City’s fungi specifically, but urban fungi in general.

The shirts
The shirts are unisex, short-sleeved.  They are 100% cotton and have been printed by Bushwick screenprinter Beezer Printing.

10% off when you  pre-order. Order the shirt before September 30th to receive a 10% discount. Shirts will be available after September 30th for $25.

Pick up at Fungus Festival
You can pick up your shirt order at Fungus Festival again this year and ditch the shipping fee. Fungus Festival will happen Sunday, October 11th from 11AM to 4PM at Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan. If you select “Pick up at Fungus Festival” your shirt(s) will be held at the merch/information table at the Festival. Orders left unclaimed after the festival date will have to be shipped at the standard rate.
